CBE unveils T-bills worth EGP 47.5bn on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 47.50 billion through two offerings on Sunday, 26 November 2023.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 22.50 billion, holding a tenor of 91 days until 27 February 2024, according to official data.

The second offering stood at EGP 25 billion and will mature in 273 days on 27 August next year.

On 23 November, the CBE unveiled T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 46.50 billion through two auctions.
